A cautionary note on the RI election results: the Board of Elections is showing 82% of polling places are reporting - but NO mail ballots and VERY FEW early votes have been counted - be aware what that percentage does and doesn't tell you wpri.com/news/elections…

With early and Election Day votes counted, EG Democrats lead in all Town Council, School Committee slots. There are still 1K mail ballots not yet counted. #election2024

Another way to think about how much of the vote is left to count in RI once more early votes and all mail ballots are added to the total There are only about 350,000 votes for POTUS counted yet - but we know turnout was around 500,000 So ~150,000 to go wpri.com/news/elections…

The state RI Board of Elections vote totals for EG as of 9:10 p.m. only include Election Day ballot totals. Not sure why they haven't added early voting totals, which were available just after 8 p.m. at Town Hall.

Still waiting on 1K mail ballots but with early and Election Day ballots tallied, Dems hold on to Town Council. For Sch. Comm., it's Munoz (D), Wright (D) and Nguyen (R).
