Enterovirus encephalitis is a rare complication of anti-CD20 meds including rituximab and ocrelizumab that should be considered in pwMS on these therapies with new onset encephalopathy. It can be associated with hypogammaglobulinemia. neurology.org/doi/10.1212/WN…

So impressed with our residents in SD American Academy of Neurology #AANAM! Over half of our intern class presented including representing Mayo Clinic Neurology Residency proudly with platforms! 🤩 All abstracts were with Mayo Clinic Neuro mentors... that means abstracts were submitted 3 months in to intern year!

A common misconception regarding the treatment of Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) is the idea that it can be categorized as either "IVIg responsive" or "resistant." The only two therapies that are effective for GBS—plasma exchange and intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIg)—do not change

1/ a 64 yo m presented for difficulty seeing. He has changed his glasses prescription twice; no help. He had 20/20 vision & normal fundoscopy. When asked to describe the picture he replies, "there is a pear and cherries, and multiple fronds of wheat.” A #continuumcase

Burnout doesn’t ask for permission—it creeps in quietly, even when you’re doing what you love. Medicine is a calling, but it’s also a marathon. If you’re tired, you’re not weak—you’re human. Rest is not a reward. It’s a requirement. Take care of the healer too. 🧠💛 #Burnout
