Where is the outrage about this?! It's 2023, we've had Australia's most expensive Royal Commission, into violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation of people with disability and we're still #segregating disabled people, treating them like this and calling it "specialist". Enough!

Not really on twitter X much these days. Finished phd & its been with examiners since october. Post-phd, I got obsessed with studying australian native flora & fauna & dug out my old pastel set. I really can spend days scribbling away, totally focused despite hands cramping.

My morning was spent reading EoIs for a support worker job listing. The job outlined a practical task - no info about my feelings. Responses were loaded with assumptions like: “It must be so hard/difficult for you. I feel so blessed. I love to help ppl like you.” My reply:
