My lab Univ. of Pennsylvania Department of Cancer Biology in Penn Medicine is recruiting postdoctoral fellows to interrogate the intersection of metal availability, mitogenic and nutrient signaling, and metabolism in cancer! We’d love to have you join us! Details below & Cell Career Network Biomedical Postdoctoral Programs.

Even these skeletons know you should vote for Gisele Barreto Fetterman’s husband John Fetterman (and Josh Shapiro)

New review out on "the role of the gut microbiota in the relationship between diet and human health" in Annual Reviews #microbiome annualreviews.org/doi/abs/10.114…

👏👏👏 Alex Smith, Joe Zackular and the whole team. Great scientists but also wonderful people!

Cool paper! However how is underlying metabolomic dataset not available? @Microbiome clearly states in its policies "Data availability statements should include information on where data supporting the results reported in the article can be found". jacquesravel Ian Lidbury

Cool postdoc opportunity CHOP Research

Yesterday, I took mifepristone and today I will take misprostol for a missed abortion for a very wanted and very planned pregnancy. The combination has about an 85% success rate and will hopefully allow me to avoid an invasive procedure. I am really sad, and I am feeling the loss

Excited to share our latest work led by Joshua Soto Ocaña & Elliot Friedman in mBio today! Together with Gary Wu's team, we suggest metals may be an important nutritional factor shaping early life microbial ecology. journals.asm.org/doi/10.1128/mb…

This study was a really fun collaborative effort between my team (Joshua Soto Ocaña, Orlaith Keenan, Nile Bayard), Gary Wu's team (Elliot Friedman), the IGRAM infant cohort team CHOP Research, Eric Skaar, Matt Munneke, Will Beavers, Ceylan Tanes and others!
