Carer story A friend left her HR job for a care position ku UK her mantra was that ku care kune payroll. In 6 months she took a small pay cut to do HR work, no overtime, but she knew what she wanted. Just because you start in position X doesnโ€™t mean you end there.

The shortage of specific skills in New Zealand or anywhere else does not render specific degrees useless. Besides, do you think all welders will get jobs in New Zealand? Do you expect all people to be welders? Life doesn't work like that.

On grades again, especially for PhD students: You can get 100% in all courses, but when it comes to the academic job market, no one really cares about that!!! Focus on building your research profile, publish in high impact journals, get teaching experience, etc #AcademicTwitter

This is just embarrassing, to say the least. Please hire competent people next time. First, there is no such thing as the Republic of Canada. Second, Alberta does not have a "Governor " or "Deputy Mayor " (it's not even a city to begin with, it's a province). This is shameful!!

The long wait is over. Congratulations to me, my laboratory at INSA France ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท and collaborator at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), United States. The first manuscript was submitted in November 2023, and after 5 tasking revisions, our work is accepted today, which is 18

Congratulations ๐ŸŽŠ. Yes if you want to publish in reputable journals you have to be patient because the process can take time..

The South African government thinks this is funny? This is actually disrespectful to your hosts. There is no country called Republic of Canada!!! There is no "Governor" in Alberta....what do you mean by Deputy Mayor of Alberta? This office is actually occupied by illiterates!

Nothing beats the anxiety of seeing the status of one of your manuscripts as "Decision Pending", you are just wondering what did the reviewers say about my work? What will be the Editor's verdict? #AcademicTwitter

Dr. Elmond Bandauko (@elmondbandauko) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Right, the decision has just arrived! It's is a Revise and Resubmit with very useful comments to strengthen the paper for consideration in a very good Q1 journal!!! #AcademicTwitter

To people who pay money to be added to study abroad groups, often tagged as mentorship platforms, I'll say this: There's nothing in those groups that isn't already on the internet. In fact, there's nothing they'll share there that you won't find on my Facebook, LinkedIn, or

Academic community, l have a question: what do you do when a reviewer suggested something (it makes sense) but l didn't come across it during interviews with participants...Perhaps highlight it as part of the limitations & area for future research? #AcademicTwitter

Dr. Elmond Bandauko (@elmondbandauko) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Thanks, folks, for your responses. I think l have effectively dealt with the issue. The paper is becoming stronger, and l can not wait to see what will happen next!!!

Dr. Elmond Bandauko (@elmondbandauko) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Great. I should also add that your introduction should highlight what we know, what is not known, and therefore the research gap you are addressing. These should be very clear!!!!
