I had a great time talking with Sean Howe about his excellent new book "Agents of Chaos." It's not easy writing about a man who purposefully obscured his identity, but Howe has written the first (and best) biography of the fascinating Thomas King ForƧade newbooksnetwork.com/agents-of-chaos

It’s been over 2 years since I signed on to host a lecture series on cannabis history with @Wondrium but today I’m in the studio and ready to drop some pot knowledge! The series will release next year 😁

Happy 4/20 from your friendly neighborhood pot historian. Read Grass Roots to understand the 6 decades of activism that got us to our current (crazy) point. Is it time for a sequel?

David Pozen's new book, "The Constitution of the War on Drugs," adds fuel to my theory that the brief period b/t the late '60s-early '70s was one of the most liberal and surprising for drug policy. A great talk about an underexplored area of pot activism! newbooksnetwork.com/the-constituti…

I talked to @ryanreft about his new article "Heroin and Chocolate City: Black Community Responses to Drug Addiction in the Nation's Capital, 1967-73." It's a great piece, with wild characters & new insights into DC & the city's complex relationship w/drugs newbooksnetwork.com/ryan-reft-hero…

This was a provocative conference talk with a lively Q&A afterward-- followers of Dr. Campos who are interested in participating in the next one person should consider joining the org and meeting us in Paris in 2026! Join here: press.uchicago.edu/ucp/journals/s…

This interview is amazing. Dale was literally at the front lines of the Cali cannabis story ever since the decrim movement bottomed out in the 70s and 80s. His insights into the market, yesterday *and* today, are enlightening. Grass Roots even got a little shout out at the end 😁
