I was really grateful to refresh my MMO training on a course provided to marine students, ECRs and the local Shetland community. A great initiative to train local people in relevant skills, led by the 'fairy godmother of MMOs' Carolyn Barton, and funded by ESB Networks ππΌπ§πΌββοΈπ³

It was brilliant to share some of my PhD research with my university community today at the Heriot-Watt EGIS PGR Symposiumβ΄οΈThis is a culmination of years of data collection and wonderful collaboration around Scotland, which I also look forward to sharing at MASTS next month!π³π

What is the method behind the map? πΊοΈ Emily Hague π’π³π¬ et al followed 8 different pre-published risk mapping methods, to predict vessel risk to bowhead whales in Baffin Bay, and found the area predicted as βhigh riskβ was not always the same! π³ π doi.org/10.1111/1365-2β¦

Today's the day! π₯³ Catch me me this morning at the MASTS Annual Science Meeting talking about vessel traffic in Scottish MPAs β΅οΈπ₯, and this afternoon we have the special session on marine mammals! π³ It's gonna be a good day π Looking forward to seeing everyone πππ¦π¦π¦
