We are very pleased to support the launch of 'ReadOn', a new app developed by librarians from London Libraries. 'ReadOn' takes inspiration from the 'Couch to 5k' fitness plan to get people reading more. librariesconnected.org.uk/news/london-li…

Our public attitudes research shows people have high expectations of how AI is governed. We welcome the Government’s confirmation that it will seek to establish AI legislation this Parliament, but momentum needs maintaining - Ada's #KingsSpeech response tinyurl.com/yrenf2b6

Bumper #weeknotes to share facts about the experiences of young people in the digital environment following the CILIP conference. We shouldn't think young people are digital natives, and therefore all is well. It isn't! #cilipconf24 #cilip24 ASCEL linkedin.com/pulse/digital-…

May I suggest we take a moment to adore the Children’s Parliament in Scotland team page on their website? (tap/hover on their photos). 😍 childrensparliament.org.uk/meet-the-team/ Children's Parliament

This week my #Weeknotes for Connected by Data consider #AI produced risk assessments, VAT returns, a bit on accessibility and inclusivity, and living creative “team” pages on websites. connectedbydata.org/weeknotes/2024…

If it wasn’t for my upcoming wedding I may claim today as the best day of the year…discovered GOG.COM and am now living my best teenage life and playing Theme Hospital again for the first time in over 20 years! 😍 (Just spotted they have Theme Park too…I’m doomed 😆)

A wonderful surprise birthday trip for Tabitha Witherick is no longer here including an overnight stay and delicious meal (with surprise guests 😍) at TheBodminJailHotel. Bonus of a trip round the tourist attraction with Tabitha practicing her punishment activity. Highly recommend.

Do I know anyone that lives in #Manchester and can receive a “special delivery” package on Wednesday morning (sometime before 1pm)?

I don’t consider myself a practical person. And I’m not confident when it comes to DIY. But this is the smug face of someone who has just fixed their “split inlet valve” in the toilet flush. (With huge thanks to a 7 year old YouTube video 👏) I thank you. *bows*

My #Weeknotes for Connected by Data particularly with sharing some reading reflections about Gen Alpha - and slightly older and a lot younger. And stating intent about Disney bingo. connectedbydata.org/weeknotes/2024…

This hasn’t aged well … I’ve been up since 3:15 attending to noisy pipes. Think I’ve sorted it for now so heading back to bed … and hoping I’m not facing an emergency plumber callout in the morning. 😬🤦‍♀️

#FinishedReading ‘Ten things I hate about me: How to stay alive with a brain that’s trying to kill you’ by Joe Tracini. All that I thought it would be. A useful and frank insight into living with BPD, with the humour and personality so evident in his videos. Thank you Joe.

#FinishedReading ‘Essex Girls: For profane and opinionated women everywhere’ by Sarah Perry. A wonderful short romp into the stories of some (to me unknown) historical feminist activists embodying the Essex Girl character (and some history of my birth county too).
