And the final group of the morning is from Chattanooga Center for the Creative Arts!

11 schools attending new #eLab training this year! Excited to see what these schools do in the next year(s)! This is one of my favorite weeks of the year.

Included today we have: Allen Elementary, Spring Creek Elementary, Nolan Elementary, and Walker Valley High School

Also: Normal Park Lower, Orchard Knob Elementary, Dalewood Middle, Tyner Middle, and Harrison Bay Future Ready Center!

And finally, Apison Elementary and Snow Hill Elementary!

And now, the most important part. We built cool stuff…. But MORE IMPORTANTLY… the growth in technical and essential skills (like resilience) was clear to me, as a facilitator. Now the schools are explicitly presenting on what they learned! #essentialskills #vwelab

Spring Creek Elementary third graders are learning about landforms in the eLab! Today they are choosing one to create and prototyping with play-doh. Over the next few weeks they’ll be learn to use 3D pens to demonstrate their understanding of the features of landforms!

3rd graders @ Apison Elementary are getting a refresh on the Engineering Design Process as they 3D design coins for their house competition. Mr. Bevil combines something new with something the Ss feel comfortable with to have productive struggle instead of frustration! #VWeLabs

5th graders at Calvin Donaldson are earning their first FabFolio skill while building cabins that can withstand a dust storm. Today they’re focusing on developing a plan with materials and measurements and then showing that they’re using appropriate tools for the job. VW eLabs
