Azuki bringing back Tanaka Tatsuyuki for Episode 3 of their anthology is a massive deal. He helped define the gritty, surreal aesthetic of classics like Akira and his cult-favorite artbook Cannabis Works. He also directed animation on Blade Runner: Black Out, a short so badass

My main two takeaways from the Official Azuki TCG tournament: 1. The game is really fucking fun. Truly. Kudos to Jonathan Chao and the rest of the team. 2. Rose ⛩️ ➡️ AnimeExpo 🫰 is really really good at getting a room full of intoxicated individuals to shut up and listen 😂

Got to meet the legend Taniguchi-San this evening at the Azuki event. Awesome meeting so many members of the greatest community ngl. Azuki has “it” that much is clear. Thanks to the team for throwing an epic event and to Jonathan Chao for the tourney as a highlight of my trip.
