Got my serious face on as we discuss important issue of retail crime and violence against shop workers at Co-operative Party conference. Pleased to be able to share some of the work Police Commissioners are driving locally to ensure retail workers are protected.

Our ambition over the next 10 years is clear: 1️⃣ Halve violence against women and girls 2️⃣ Halve knife crime 3️⃣ Strengthen neighbourhood policing 4️⃣ Restore confidence in forces I spoke to Association of Police and Crime Commissioners to set out our priorities to make this ambition a reality for communities.



A productive discussion this afternoon with Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Home Secretary Yvette Cooper and other policing leaders to discuss police reform and delivering on Government mission for Safer Streets.
