Got my serious face on as we discuss important issue of retail crime and violence against shop workers at Co-operative Party conference. Pleased to be able to share some of the work Police Commissioners are driving locally to ensure retail workers are protected.

Our ambition over the next 10 years is clear: 1️⃣ Halve violence against women and girls 2️⃣ Halve knife crime 3️⃣ Strengthen neighbourhood policing 4️⃣ Restore confidence in forces I spoke to Association of Police and Crime Commissioners to set out our priorities to make this ambition a reality for communities.

We were very pleased to have the Rt Hon Dame Diana Johnson MP, Minister for Policing, Fire and Crime Prevention, speaking at our General Meeting. Her speech was followed by a positive and useful Q&A session with our members, led by APCC Chair Emily Spurrell.
