We can't wait to welcome the newly qualified nurses who have secured a job here at Barnsley Hospital! Next week will be our Prepare to nurse event. We have developed this new programme to support and prepare all newly qualified nurses ready for their clinical area😊

We are super excited to welcome the newly qualified AHPs who have commenced their first roles here at Barnsley. Our Practice Educator Midhun has commenced their preceptorship programme today which will support them throughout their first year of qualification 😊

Congratulations to our lead nurse of workforce development, Vicky, for being awarded with a brilliant award. Vicky has been awarded this for the work she has done with the Prepare to Nurse week we deliver here at Barnsley Hospital. Well done Vicky!

Mandy and Irfan our Practice Educators are delivering the OSCE programme this week to support the qualified nurses from over seas who are currently working as HCSWs in the trust to achieve their NMC registration 👏

Congratulations to Olivia, Jade and Maddie who have received their certificates today for completing their training as a Nursing Associate. These newly qualified registrants will be based on ED and SSU

Congratulations to Beth and Kellie who have reached their 40 births and are approaching the end of their RN to RM course. Beth and Kellie are our first cohort of registered nurses to complete the MSc degree in midwifery 👏
