A bit late posting this, but a few weeks ago we released MuChoMusic, a new benchmark for music understanding, which will be presented at ISMIR Conference this year. If you’re working on multimodal audio LLMs, you might want to add this to your evals!

We are pleased to invite you to contribute to the 2024 Digital Music Research Network (DMRN) workshop! This year, we will have Stefan Lattner Stefan Lattner from Sony CSL (Paris) as our keynote speaker. More information at: qmul.ac.uk/dmrn/dmrn19/

ISMIR Conference is approaching and we are very glad to announce that we will have 17 academic papers from our group, as well as Tutorials, MIREX tasks, TISMIR presentations, and Satellite Events! For a complete list, please see: c4dm.eecs.qmul.ac.uk/news/2024-10-2…

In session 6 we had presentations from Ilaria Manco (best paper nominee, w/ Emmanouil Benetos Elio Quinton) and Yannis Vasilakis 🎵

My last ISMIR Conference as a PhD student is officially over! I’m leaving SF feeling inspired and incredibly proud of being part of such a creative and supportive research community. And honoured to have received a best paper award (together with my co-author Benno Weck)!

A really great opportunity for AI specialists outside the UK to work more closely with a UK expert. Deadline is 12 December, so please hurry. If you are in AI and Music, then C4DM at QMUL QMUL Electronic Engineering and Computer Science would be super happy to welcome you.
