Not far from Brighton now, where I'll be working with ITT students. Looking forward to discussing how to nurture young mathematicians using NRICH maths tasks

#year6 use the ICT suite to play NRICH maths The Remainders Game for National Numeracy day. They used strategies developed earlier in the week, to narrow down the possibilities and eventually "Guess the number". There were some really high scores in the end! RISE Maths Rise Multi Academy Trust

Well done, 54 numbers is impressive! Can you tweak what you've done to get an even longer chain? If others would like to explore this NRICH maths challenge, you can find The Factors and Multiples Game here: nrich.maths.org/factorsandmult…

Totality is a great game, glad you enjoyed it Year 2! If others would like to try it out, you can find it here: nrich.maths.org/1216 - it provides an opportunity for developing number and calculation fluency, combined with strategic thinking

Great stuff P7G! I wonder whether the patterns you spotted will carry on for ever? Why, or why not? If anyone else would like to have a go at this task, it's called Sticky Triangles: nrich.maths.org/88

Another super helpful blog post, thank you Grace Coker. Grace suggests that one way to use manipulatives is to support problem solving. Lovely NRICH maths example included too!
