When a teacher undermines another teacher, going against the school wide initiatives to get students to “like them.” It not only hurts the culture of the building, but it’s also a poor example for that student. Set a good example and be consistent.

A1: I get the most from a exemplar model with me working as “the student” and then seeing the same thing play out with real students along side a coach so I can ask clarifying questions in the moment. #lancecoaching23

A2: coaching others is not about telling them if they are right or wrong/if their way is right or wrong. It is about helping them probe into their own thinking and planning processes so that they can self assess and refine. #lancecoaching23

Q3: I think this goes back to the “I do, we do, you do” model. By letting another learner in on your process of thinking, you are giving them a tool to help them guide their own thinking. Which helps create lasting impact vs a one time fix. #lancecoaching23
