Enterprise City Schools has been made aware of a letter circulating on social media involving a threat. School officials have investigated and it does not involve our school system. All students in our system are safe.

We are aware of the Instagram post from earlier today and are working directly with the Enterprise Police Department to identify the individual who made this post to determine the validity of the threat. We will hold school tomorrow with an increased police presence.

At the beginning of school this morning, the individual who made the threatening social media post yesterday was apprehended by EPD. There is no longer a threat to EHS or any other Enterprise City School. No more information will be released regarding this incident from ECS.

Out of an abundance of caution, all Enterprise City Schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. Information about afterschool activities on Tuesday will be determined by how quickly the weather improves. After school activities for today (Monday) will proceed as normal.
