If you think your medical bills are outrageous now, just wait for the fully-AI "customer service" insurers will be installing. No appeals, no humans on the other side of the phone or "chat", no possibility of learning why you are being billed $50,000 for a C-section.

Alvaro stood up for the least powerful -- kids exploited by Big Tech, rural grocers crushed by chains, low-wage workers locked in noncompetes. This FTC loudly targets “DEI” while quietly abandoning the work that really matters. Alvaro will be sorely missed.

When powerful companies illegally rip off Colorado farmers and workers by making it harder to repair their own machinery, the law has something to say about it. It’s time we flip the script. This is about economic freedom and standing up for those who feed the country.

Terrific news. Shaoul is remarkably talented and was key to our government’s revival of antitrust enforcement these last few years.

If you're a D.C. Library user, be aware: DC Public Library says it is likely going to have to reduce opening hours at neighborhood branches, from the current 61 hours a week to 40 hours. Branches would also go from being open seven days a week to five days.

Public grocery stores like those proposed by Zohran Kwame Mamdani are eminently reasonable and good, actually See this Vanderbilt Policy Accelerator report on how they can work 👉 vanderbilt.edu/vanderbilt-pol…

Congratulations to Zohran Kwame Mamdani on an incredible win and a courageous, principled campaign. People are hungry for a government that is relentlessly focused on improving their lives, even when it means standing up to corporate power and moneyed interests.

Listen to Morgan Harper: the whole reason we have a CFPB is because other regulators were asleep at the wheel and paved the way for a massive financial crisis. The effective shuttering of CFPB under Trump puts our country at risk all over again.

I testified in the Senate this week about antitrust + deregulation. I urged Congress, Antitrust Division, and FTC to focus on the biggest, most intractable competition problems driving the cost-of-living crisis. Why? They’re uniquely suited to do it. And because regular people can’t

WORKER WIN: Over 300 hotel housekeepers in DC will receive $215,000 after their companies failed to pay proper overtime pay. The companies will also pay penalties and correct their practices. Workers who put in long hours week after week will get the overtime wages they earned.

Over 16k Americans weighed in on the click-to-cancel rule, overwhelmingly supporting our effort to end subscription traps. The rule was set to go into effect in May but this FTC slow-walked it—and now a court has tossed it out, claiming industry didn’t get enough of a say.

Elizabeth Warren (@senwarren) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Three Republican-appointed judges just made it harder to cancel subscriptions you don’t want.   It's absurd that you can't just click to cancel.   Lina Khan fought for that change.   But now companies can trap you in subscriptions and squeeze you for every penny.

Lina Khan (@linamkhan) 's Twitter Profile Photo

To recap: Firms have been making people jump through endless hoops just to cancel a subscription, trapping Americans in needless bureaucracy and wasting their time & money. FTC began writing a “click-to-cancel” rule promoting efficient cancellation, a rulemaking process that
