Exciting times this month with roll out of RSV (bronchiolitis) vaccine to anyone pregnant. This is a subunit vaccine against the two RSV types. Getting it when pregnant will protect the baby via immune transfer in utero and via breast milk, as well as protecting the mother.

RSV is responsible for over 3 million hospitalisations worldwide every year. It can be very serious, especially for young babies.
