Rodney 'Gipsy' Smith was born in a Romani bender tent in Epping Forest in March 1860, the location of this commemorative stone [I/Mb 413/1/8]. He became an Evangelist at 16 and joined the Salvation Army, travelling the world until his death in 1947. #GRTHM2025 #Archives
