Some video/pics of Rhopalapion longirostre (Hollyhock Weevil) that we found whilst searching Hollyhocks in Wivenhoe, Tiptree and Rayne in Essex. Mating was observed at all 3 sites and included this rather nice threesome at Wivenhoe #insects

Nice to spend some time with old mucca, Alf Mullins on his local patch in lovely Wivenhoe in Essex. Among others, we saw Firebug, Zebra Jumping Spider, Common Tubic and Yellow-barred Longhorn moths. Marsh Harrier, Cuckoo and Cetti’s Warbler noted. #wildlife #insects
