In May, a damaged fingerpost on Colchester Road, Salcott was replaced under the Members Highway Initiative following a request from Cllr Bentley. This replacement was necessary due to damage caused by an RTC. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

🌿 Verge Grass Cutting Update 🌿 We cut grass twice a year in rural areas and on major roads like the A13, A130, A127, A1245, and A133. Other areas are managed by district, borough, and city councils. Landowners, please trim trees and hedges near roads and pavements.

We’re pleased to share that repairs have been completed at the Canvey Rd junction in Bowers Gifford under the Members Highway Initiative. Potholes & surface cracks have been repaired, & the junction has been freshly re-lined to improve safety and visibility for all road users.

Following an enquiry raised by Cllr McKinlay to the Members Highway Initiative, several holes and sections of uneven and broken footway on Shaw Crescent were repaired back at the end of April. Thank you to residents for your patience while the works were carried out.

Two safety bollards outside a local nursery on Connaught Ave have been reinstalled after being knocked over. These help protect pedestrians, especially children, from traffic. Thanks to residents for your patience & to Cllr Vance for raising the issue.

Last month, crews resurfaced the busy junction of Station Road / Maldon Road and Hatfield Road after reports of multiple potholes. Repairs were completed overnight to minimise disruption. 👏
