Traced CROSS family in pedigree back to 1700, cannot understand why not wanted further back to say 1538?

Found the Miles family, that's a relief.

A farm is mentioned in a letter in 1597 and 2012 but between 1750 and 1850 it was renamed Merchants, found out why in manorial rolls.

Subcontracted to a biggie but £ is £ & they pay to advertise, win win.
