We were just notified by the American Journal of Transplantation that two of our papers published in February were selected for podcast and tweets! The research shows the promise of carfilzomib for eliminating antibodies- the major reason why kidney and heart transplants fail.

The most exciting thing about carfilzomib is that we are just beginning to tap its potential, and we are working toward improving the results even more with ongoing research!!

Another important scientific publication from UC Transplant today was highlighted in the journal Transplantation. For the first time we show that within 2 weeks we can tell the impact of rejection treatment for the most dangerous type of rejection- antibody mediated rejection!

We also show for the first time that the very worst form of antibody mediated rejection- which occurs beyond six months posttransplant can also respond to treatment.

New national transplant data is out. Kidney transplant rates at U of Cincinnati show 71.1 transplants/100 patient-years on the waiting list. That means 71.1% of patients on our waiting list were transplanted last year. One of the highest transplant rates in the USđŸ”„đŸ”„đŸ”„!!!

Steve Scalise just said he would support a bill to revoke the $25 million funding from the Kennedy Center. They laid off a majority of their staff and musicians without pay in the middle of a crisis, AFTER we gave them taxpayer dollars. RT if the money should be taken back!
