Our story on the homeostatic control of #appetite in #zebrafish is finally out eLife - the journal. While we often think of hunger as a single unified state that is opposed to satiety, we find that the zebrafish hypothalamus encodes two very distinct states of hunger. elifesciences.org/articles/43775

Here's a new #b3d animation I put together for the Florian Engert to provide a quick explanation of the optomotor response in larval #zebrafish bit.ly/2RL3yYM

I'm super honored and excited to have been chosen as a Swartz Foundation Fellow for Theory in Neuroscience this year! Very thankful to have the opportunity to work with @jmxpearson as well as eva a naumann at Duke University neuro.duke.edu/research/resea… Swartz Foundation DukeBiostats Duke Neurobiology

Exciting new all-optical data, fresh off a new prototype! Showing off beautiful holographic optogenetic activation of the circled neurons in this photostimulus triggered average of GCaMP6s responses All-optical superstar and Certified ImageJ Ninja Dr. Robert Lees at the helm

#SACNISTAs can find Duke Neurobiology at #SACNAS2020 today at 1:20p PST, 4:20p EDT!

glad to be honored like this- but if I see further (into the zebrafish brain) it is by standing on the shoulders of giants and a supportive environment Steve Lisberger Duke Neurobiology and a great lab! naumannlab.org. #SloanFellow

Check out our new pre-print about Multi Camera Array Microscope! In collaboration with the Computational Optics Lab (Roarke Horstmeyer), we showcase a new microscope technology that can capture gigapixel-scale video of freely zebrafish and other moving model organisms! Bravo Eric Thomson Mark Harfouche!

This project was only made possible with the amazing work of Zichen Cleo He 贺紫宸, Dr. Matt Loring, and eva a naumann 🌟🌟🌟, and of course the helpful, welcoming Danionella community! ❤️
