Time for the 4th in our series of Early Releases and we couldn't be more excited to finally welcome Kate Atkinson, author of the extraordinary Jackson Brodie novels, to the festival. Kate will be interviewed by guest programmer, Ian Rankin on Sat 13th Sept bloodyscotland.com/event/sir-ian-…

PUBLICATION DAY for #THESCHOOLGATES! My brand new unputdownable thriller is OUT NOW! According to heatworld it has ‘so many twists and turns it should launch as a new ride at Thorpe Park!’ 😍 Available here: 👉 geni.us/Ztucw Hera Books A for Authors Agency Ltd

Such a lovely evening at Carterton Library, thanks to everyone who came. Brilliant questions & a fabulous discussion about if there was a jab that stopped you ageing, would you have it? Thanks to Sally for interviewing me and Kim Madhatter Bookshop for supplying copies of The Cure.

Extremely excited to be appearing alongside Harry Whitehead and Michael Cordy on the Harsh Environments Panel Bloody Scotland where we'll be talking climate & corruption. There's an amazing programme this year, so what are you waiting for? Get booking! ➡️ bit.ly/3TlM8RL

BOOK EVENT! On the 19th June join our BRILLIANT Essie Fox Author and the fabulous 📚💚Caroline Lea🧟♀️✍️ at Waterstones #Windsor! They'll be chatting about the monsters that inspired their #Romantic historical fiction novels #Dangerous and #LoveSexAndFrankenstein! ✨ bit.ly/3SCRlEo

Fabulous event Daunt Books listening to Philip Pullman talk about his writing process & the final Book of Dust novel, The Rose Field. Key takeaways: - steal words/ideas at will - get to your desk & write: if you're stuck try dialogue - Moss Bros is a fertile training ground.

I did this a few years ago and had the absolute HONOUR of opening for Ian Rankin and Abir Mukherjee It's an experience I will never forget and I recommend it to all you emerging authors!

Wow! Just finished @julieandersonwriter second installment of the Clapham trilogy A Death in the Afternoon . Loved it! Great tension and clever plot. Great set locally in Clapham so everything familiar. Fascinating ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

It all kicks off at 5.30pm today at Freckleton Library (Lancashire Libraries ) with yours truly & the amazing Natalie Chandler in conversation, drinking tea and delving into the dark mysteries of crime writing. Love to see you there!

Just a reminder to all Oxfordshire/#cotswolds readers that I will be at Burford Library tonight as part of #nationalcrimereadingmonth talking about The Cure with Kim from lovely indie bookshop Madhatter Bookshop. Still a few seats, just call 01865 815123, we would love to see you!

A little late to the party on this one, but DO catch up with our fabulous *Queen of the ethical medical thriller* Eve Smith at libraries, at #Harrogate, at Newark Book Festival AND Bloody Scotland!!

I did an event last night at a library supported by Madhatter Bookshop. It reminded me just how hard indie bookshops have to work to keep going on the high street, and how much we authors rely on their good will to support us. It's tough out there. Thank you all. #IndieBookshopWeek
