The weather today in the Lake District has been superb! Hope everyone is having a good week so far?

In an unexpected free day I headed to Merseyrail land and met up with Nick Badley for a bit of a pub crawl around the Merseyrail network. We did include a walk at one point to break the day up a bit! Things learnt today was, it’s weird with no 507s about, but a good weird!

Woohooo. The weekend is here! I was going to go out this weekend on the Settle & Carlisle. But the weather is looking a bit crap tomorrow, so I’m probably going to stay home and plan my next trip! Whatever you’re up to. I hope it’s a good one!

Brigg... A town that 100% deserves a much more frequent service! I really hope one day the town gets the service it deserves!

Spirit of Scotland is a great rover ticket. Used it many a time and always think it’s good value. I’m currently writing up about my recent trip! My only negative with this rover is the ferries got withdrawn from the ticket, but price not reduced to reflect this 😕

What do you get when you cancel 2 services in a row and then only put a 3 carriage unit on the next service? That's right... Overcrowding!!! The 1348 off Piccadilly to Barrow is rammed! Those currently saying Northern are improving are out of touch with the real world!

Not long until the 175s enter service on GWR routes around Devon & Cornwall! The 175s will be replacing the much loved workhorse HSTs. Despite what people might think, I genuinely do like the HSTs. The sad reality though is they no longer suitable for our railways!
