Obviously that law is not resulting in the sale of any land, because the insane 28% has barely changed in 100 years.
The only legal ownership: 10x10 miles for the Capitol and necessary forts and buildings.
The Federal Government owns a lot more than that. By this reasoning they should own it all, which is really the point. Everyone must be equal under the commune.
I'm being serious as well. The United States is a Constitutional Federated Republic.
That Constitution allows the Federal government to own 10x10 sq mi of land for the Capitol, as well as necessary forts and buildings - nothing more.
Selective outrage.
It's not legal, but we'll do it anyway. As long s we give it away to people quickly nobody will complain. - Thomas Jefferson
We've heard this one before. How do you think we got a 28% federal land lord?
Right, the housing argument is stupid. If they want to fix that they just need to eliminate zoning. The reason to unload the land, apart from the fact that owning it is unlawful, is the *reason* it is unlawful.
That’s because their kings owned it all, subbed it out to the lords, who collected rents from peasants. This is specifically why our federal government is Constitutionally prohibited from owning it.
