It makes sense. Our birth options clinic was run by our superb birth centre matron, but it didn’t make sense to have midwifery without obstetrics, so we teamed up at the end of 2024 and the feedback from attendees has been really good. Imperial People 💙

Good to see outcomes are improving for babies in the UK, this is in contrast with maternal mortality which is increasing. Inequalities remain within both. Saving Babies Lives care bundles appear to have been effective, changes in approach are now needed to save women's lives

Delighted to work on this piece with excellent colleagues from The George Institute for Global Health & Imperial College London. Building on this, we are holding our first MESSAGE Maternity session this week to explore the ethical, legal and regulatory barriers to including pregnant women in clinical trials.
