75 years ago there were a series of races of steam engines held and it was the start of the steam rally movement as we know it today. At the weekend there was an anniversary rally which of course included a number of throwback races!

Now that’s how to spend a sunny evening to finish off the week.

While the stock car world was at Lynn, I was at Shuttleworth where I got to photograph the only remaining Burrell steam wagon in the world, which has just been completed. The majority of this wagon was scrapped in 1931, except for a few bits and pieces. Engineering at its best.
