2 things I LOVE about yesterday's Airbnb release: - They constantly try new things - And try things that have already failed before (Experiences)

A friend of mine was a part of the pivot of Airbnb Experiences in Lisbon 🇵🇹 in 2016 or so, as a host: 1. Airbnb launched a curated list of unique hosts 2. My friend was the only surf school in the area 3. Airbnb told him to combine a surf lesson (25 eur was his regular price)

Great map shown at a conference that I’m presenting at. We see the increase in restaurant spending along the path of the solar eclipse. I enjoy stumbling across fun maps in the wild.

The trending travel destinations are those that influencers recommend That's the reason why Japan is so popular now. You can create a huge amount of viral content in a few days: asparagus ice cream, capypara cafés, you name it Stats: 73% of travelers report that influencer

This went viral in the last days, so I looked at the other side of the story: 1. The closest international airport is a 3-hour drive 2. No hotel license, you can use it as a private residence 3. In the middle of nowhere, no beach/mountains, or anything that drives tourism 4.

I think this hotel in Portugal is perfect for company retreats and other types of groups. But currently, they only have individual guests. It's for sale and has been sitting on the market for months... a huge room for negotiation. One-page website in Portuguese only, no direct

Marriott Moxy Hotel has 1/2 the size of a typical hotel room (174 sqft vs. 348 sqft). Its shrunken design still makes 20% more revenue per room vs. peer mid-tier chains.  How? The first reason is that online rating sites (Tripadvisor) have displaced traditional hotel rating

A former prison near Amsterdam was transformed into a large coworking space, and it's beautiful. I had lunch with a friend who works there, and he gave me a tour. The open space area has a lot of natural light coming from the circular glass roof and a very good vibe in
