Happy to announce that I will be joining the University of Memphis as an Assistant Professor of Political Science in the Fall of 2024! I am thrilled to join such a productive and welcoming dept. Big thanks to University of North Florida and my colleagues for such a wonderful start to my career.

I’m ecstatic to see this out in the American Political Science Review. Hannah Alarian + Stephanie Zonszein have designed an elegant, careful experiment w/a clear takeaway: people are instrumental—not principled—when it comes to (not) supporting non-citizen voting rights. Can’t wait to cite and assign this!

Is this “no good options,” like when you decided to run as Maggie because Hassan sounded too Muslim? Or “no good options” like when you and your husband covered up child sexual assault at a boarding school he was principal of? Just want to make sure I’ve got this straight.
