Happy Labor Day to BU Grad Workers!

In love with this fantastic documentary on mobility and bicycles in Kolkata by Malini Sur!

Bristling and tragically relevant thirty five years on; published with characteristic integrity and careful annotations by the crack team at Jewish Currents

At Society for U.S. Intellectual History, check out a new initiative to broaden research access for #contingent faculty, independent scholars, & historians who work beyond the academy. Please RT & apply! #twitterstorians Raymond Haberski, Jr American Historical Association Organization of American Historians NCPH NCIS Contingent Magazine #USIH

Spent the day with Michael W. Twitty's characteristically beautiful new meditation (Kosher Soul, aptly) on congruence and friction of Black, Jewish, and gay journeys. Between culinary wayfaring, portraits of teachers / students, and loving / painful moments of belonging & un-belonging.

Just finished Sue-Lin Wong é»ę·ē³ās āThe Prince.ā Riveting political documentary (thought a lot of my own time in Hu Jintaoās China) that makes me wonder what a similar account of Indiaās turbulent politics over the last decade might sound like.

Thanks so much to Benjamin Siegel for his insightful review of Aaron Windel's Cooperative Rule for H-Soz-Kult #twitterhistorians

Great conversation but the best part was the Tanvi Madan's deservedly glowing plug for @DrJSarkar's "Ploughshares and Swords" at the end! Haven't forgiven her for leaving us for University of Glasgow but a fantastic book's a fantastic book.

Don't miss our next seminar on Thurs, March 20, 12pm with Benjamin Siegel (BU History) on "Labor, Machines, and Ecology in Modern India" (in partnership with UPenn South Asia Center, South Asia Studies, Penn History & Dept of History & Sociology of Science) Read More: casi.sas.upenn.edu/events/benjamiā¦
