While we’re glad to hear of Mahmoud and Ahmad’s release, we join our colleagues Saqi Books Palestine Festival of Literature Publishers for Palestine and countless others across the world in decrying these arrests and Israel’s ongoing repression of Palestinian history, culture, literature and expression. Our friends at Saqi Books have set up a fundraiser to support the Educational Bookshop in E Jerusalem. Funds raised will go to replacing books seized, fixing material damage, & paying workers (terms of their release included that they not return to bookselling for min. 20 days).
