Agricultural science students from Ollscoil na Gaillimhe | University of Galway joined us today at BallydanganBog and a nearby project farm where dams were recently installed. They learned about the Red Grouse, results-based scorecards, and how raising the water table reduces peat wastage and carbon emissions.



𝗙𝗔𝗥𝗠𝗣𝗘𝗔𝗧 𝙂𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙧𝙙 recently attended the end of the project conference for the FarmPEAT Project. The project focused on raising the water table on the adjoining peatland and recording any change in biodiversity in the grasslands over the following years. Atlantic Technological University

FarmPEAT was involved in initial feedback sessions on the Peatland Standard, which helps to quantify peatland restoration results and leverage more funding.
