This is what happens when you have generations of people who think every thought and idea they have is precious and tell them they are a genius when they’re not. PS intelligence is an awareness of one’s own stupidity.

Corbyn is once again being exploited by people he doesn’t understand. It may be time for a safeguarding intervention, as he has always been incapable of helping himself

I couldn’t agree more. I’m afraid Starmer is using Leadbeater to push through a terrible piece of drafting with no scrutiny. If this passes, Starmer will blame the horrrible consequences on Leadbeater. He needs to grow up, and do this properly

Walter Plinge Sarasaurus 🎗️🇺🇦 I certainly have no evidence of someone having smallpox which would prove it’s not eradicated from human populations. Since WHO has only declared on infectious disease eradicated and there are lots of orthopox viruses naturally occurring it is ignorant to thinks it’s gone.

In penance, here’s the nice opener from today’s Times Quick 2932: They help one see exact requirements (5) If there’s anyone who wants a hint, we can do a spoiler thread

I don’t bother retweeting many things, but for anyone still awake this is a magnificent example of an expert explanation of something rather technical to a non-technical audience

You start from a claim without any logical or legal validity, and then make a claim to emotion. Please go and do some research (the decision from World Rugby is an excellent example of a fully explained and fully referenced explanation of their decision)

I don’t know if anyone’s tried Saturday’s Guardian prize 29,691 but there’s something weird in the completed grid. 8d and 13a hint at a theme, but while there are lots of vague echoes, there is nothing I can see as precise as Brendan normally does with a theme…

And of course no comments allowed. As someone who personally wants the right to assisted suicide, I find this bill (and its parliamentary process) utterly repugnant

Saunders doesn’t have any coherent legal argument. He has acquired a PhD from the law department of a UK university, and thinks that this means he is a legal expert
