***Important*** Report on Abuse and Neglect of Adults with Disability The Ageing and Disability Commission has released a 5-year summary report, revealing a staggering 4,355 reports of abuse involving adults with disability - a two-fold increase (110%) over five years.

Changes to the #NDIS will start on Tuesday 3 October. This includes changes to the budget and planning process and what the NDIS can and cannot fund. PWDA is deeply concerned these changes have not been communicated or properly explained to participants. buff.ly/4cGNKgg

The Australian government decided to move to a "vaccine only" COVID policy and leave everyone to protect themsalves as best they can. But then they failed to make vaccines readily available and worse still have removed the choice of Novavax for the many people who react badly to

NDIA says they are doing about 1200 eligibility assessments each and every week. Mostly regarding children (and mostly aged 7 or 8) who are nearing end of early intervention.

7487 eligibility reassessments in last six weeks. 32% changed status, s.25 to s.24 (moved from early intervention to permanent disability on NDIS) 48% exited the scheme, which means they had their eligibility revoked entirely. Remaining proportion agency "seeking more info" on.
