Apart from being one of the winners of TfL prestigious London Major's Civic Innovation Challenge - FreightLab award, I get to learn from Michael Hurwitz how to bump elbows instead of shaking hands - the world carries on 🙂

As a partner of London FreightLab, we’re delighted to see Fernhay Partners as one of the six winners, working with Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan and TfL to make the way goods and services move around London safer, cleaner and more efficient. Learn more here: bit.ly/38Scgdw

If only the Audi driver was on a Fernhay Partners eQuad they could have driven between the bollards and not over. That's why we made eQuad only 840mm wide 😆

This narrow cycle way shows the value of Fernhay Partners eQuad freight bikes which carry 2m3 of volume but are only 840mm wide 😊. Trikes are typically between 950mm and 1200mm wide so rarely go between bollards or on narrow cycle ways without upsetting fellow cyclists.

The 2m3 @Fernhay eQuad rolls out in Autumn for peak 2020. As well as volume we have many improvements to increase parcel drop rates that UPS UK have requested. I'd love to deploy Fernhay in Oxford as we are just down the road, but I cant speak for my friends plans.

Still life is OK, but a film is how we should think about innovation. We have been directing and innovating our system for over 3 years and the characters, the Fernhay eQuad and Cube containers are now visible to the viewer ow.ly/yBXo50A9rA3

Hi Pedal & Post Oxford is that because SUV's cause the most accidents and injury to vulnerable road users compared to any other car, or because they have a complete disregard for laws including double yellow parking on a cycle lane? 😊

Very good point. My average speed on a Fernhay Partners eQuad is far higher than a van in a city, and I can guarantee to be somewhere within mins of a time slot even if it is miles away

It’s great our city leaders are supporting people walking and cycling. But when a city is closed to vehicles, how will we deliver freight at scale? That’s where our award from Innovate UK comes in handy! fernhay.com/news; #innovate

The unprecedented increase in deliveries brought about by Covid-19 needs to be delivered by walking and cycling. We are happy to be a part of the journey, having been selected by Innovate UK for grant funding from over 8,600 entrants. fernhay.com/news

Forward thinking Dublin City Council supports companies that want to make positive change. Here they opened up Dublin city to lead the way for walking based last mile city logistics.

Fernhay Partners (@fernhay) 's Twitter Profile Photo

When cities like Dublin City Council give space over to people to walk and cycling, we must consider doing the same for freight. Peter Harris highlights this need and Jamie Cudden Enterprise Ireland has driven the vision with us.

Fantastic news. It looks like the value of delivering parcels on foot compared with bike just got a lot better! Thanks to Dublin City Council for supporting UPS Ireland and Fernhay eWalker trials (and producing this great video!) linkedin.com/feed/update/ur…
