1. PASSED MY ID BOARDS!! You are now looking at a board certified ID physician! This ends a decade long journey in medical training as a Foreign Medical Graduate (FMG). This was a challenging & fulfilling journey, with many people to thank. My journey as an FMG, in a thread 🧵

🧵regarding the important suturing concept of whether to use one bite to grab both ends of the tissue ('taking it in 1'), versus using two bites ('taking it in 2'). We will go over some technical pointers about each of these, especially as they pertain to Lembert sutures.

🧵of 🧵 We've covered several sutures now. Next is Monocryl (or poliglecaprone 25). It was designed for skin and subcutaneous tissues, and is still used mostly for that, but is also used in a number of other settings. We will go over properties, uses, etc (the usual things...)
