FIDA-Kenya joined other organizations in discussing on improving the handling of child custody cases to protect and support children. The meeting stressed the importance of using AJS methods such as mediation to help families resolve custody cases outside of court.

STATEMENT: Through a brutal campaign against dissent, Tanzania authorities have created a climate of fear, silencing anyone who criticises President Samia Suluhu ahead of the October 2025 elections. Tanzania bears a duty under the #UNCAT to protect all people against torture.

STATEMENT: FIDA-Kenya condemns the mistreatment of Ms. Rose Njeri and calls upon the Government of Kenya to: Immediately drop all charges against Ms. Njeri that are against her constitutionally protected rights to freedom of expression, public participation, and due process.
