I have spent the past month recovering from an emergency eye surgery for retinal detachment (and I still can't see clearly). I ignored the symptoms for too long, but I hope others don't. Some info about this condition that few have heard of but is more common than you think... š§µ
Started a new journey on my birthday. I am, perhaps, the luckiest person. I've always had the best people in my life. I would have laughed at 22 if someone told me I'd be able to turn 30 one day. And now, I get to study at Carnegie Mellon University! Thank you EVERYONE, for everything!
Finally played football (soccer) in -3 degrees with mad wind. Initially I was scared if I'd be welcomed by strangers, but people at the Carnegie Mellon University field were super friendly and inclusive. I had a ball time. Just 3 weeks since I'm here and I've found a group to play with!
Spoke to Nikhil Velpanur after a long time and he said 3 things that I think everyone should know - 1. Be yourself and don't put up a show. 2. Value people over things. 3. Wait for it, shit will work out. Pickup the phone and talk to someone you haven't in a while! It's awesome.
