We need GOV.UK to recognise the unique and distinctive #workforce needs of #Scotland. An #immigration approach which is about #politics and not people will damage us all. It’s time to #careaboutcare. Scottish Care

There is a "fundamental misunderstanding of the nature of care work with gov spokesppl using the term ‘low-skilled’ when referring to care work. We challenge the language used here & would urge gov to improve its understanding of care work as a highly skilled profession"

Lots of media discussion recently about why it's hard to attract UK staff to #socialcare. Perhaps start by looking at this Ipsos in the UK Department of Health and Social Care research on careworker quality of life, presented today at NIHR School for Social Care Research conference. There are positives but also big negatives
