Watching Ms7 complete an Assent form for research makes me think I might get her to check all of the information sheets/consent forms I design. She’s great for highlighting things that don’t make sense (but I suspect are what ethics committees require)!

Nice to finish the year with positive news, w/ HRC funding our research to embed communication accessibility into routine care in stroke services. Jointly led by Clare McCann, Karen Brewer & myself, working with a fabulous research team to improve care for people after stroke.

Can anyone point me to health journals which publish longer qualitative pieces (~7000 words). Looking for a home for an ethnographic study of future talk in patient-clinician interactions in stroke care. Target journal for this paper has just reduced its word limit 😖
