Bob Mac just shot 4 under for his last 15 holes, and shot 69, 68 over the weekend on a brutal Oakmont. Whatever happens now, that’s an incredible performance from the Scot. What a player he is! 🙌🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Awesome week from Carlos Ortiz who shoots 71, 72, 67 and 73 to finish inside the top 5 of a major for the first time in his career. This result gets him in next year’s Masters and US Opens, plus it’s the best ever major finish for a player from Mexico. Great performance 🇲🇽

J.J. Spaun shoots rounds of 66, 72, 69 and 72 to win the US Open by 2 shots from Bob MacIntyre. He bogeyed 5 of his first 6 holes to go out in 40 and be miles back, but he came home in 3 under in brutal conditions to win his first ever major championship. What a performance 👏 🇺🇸

There will be lots of players walking away from Oakmont frustrated and thinking about what could have been. But the truth is, JJ Spaun went out and won that US Open trophy while so many wilted around him. Incredible finish!!

Some big golf news: Three sources tell me the PGA Tour is expected to “sunset” Jay Monahan as commissioner after a transition period with new CEO Brian Rolapp. Monahan could leave his post as soon as the end of this year, and as late as the end of next, sources said.

The new PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp spoke on the negotiations with the PIF: “Again, I’m not close enough to any of those discussions, but I will say what I saw regardless of that is a very strong Tour. I see a strong product. I see strong golfers. I think the signature events have
