We were proud to join NOVAcommcollege, Consortium of Universities of DC Metro Area, and higher-ed leaders from across the DMV at our 2024 Regional College Hunger Conference. Food insecurity impacts countless students in our region, and we’re committed to collaborating on solutions.

📚 The school season is in full swing! With kids staying busy, they need nutritious meals to stay fueled and ready to learn. Our afterschool meals program has already served over 15,000 meals and we’re just getting started! 🍎💪

🍐🍅 Did you know that 40% of the meals we distribute are fresh fruits and vegetables? 🍎🥬 We know fresh produce is key to a balanced diet, but it’s often too expensive or hard to access. That’s why we’re committed to providing quality fruits and veggies to our community! 🌱

From watermelons to squash and fresh herbs, our Urban Demonstration Garden is wrapping up another busy growing season! With over 1,400 pounds of produce harvested, we are proud that we were able to donate it to our community, partners and volunteers.🍉💚🌱
