Birmingham’s leaders may have conceded the city is indeed facing a “road safety emergency”, but this situation has been hiding in plain sight for decades. At every demo Better Streets for Birmingham is no longer on X has held, people have talked about their lives being blighted & saddened by dangerous driving

By now, everyone in a position of authority in Birmingham is aware of the basic lessons of this video. By proposing policing as the solution to our city's #UKCarCulture crisis, they are deliberately choosing to ignore those lessons, thus further entrenching the problem.

Right I have gone through the latest 20mph data for Wales and have made this video. However, I know many of you prefer a thread so I've done that as well. Long story short, 20mph seems to be working VERY well and is already paying for itself. [Thread]

So I invested in a new e-bike for my sins and health needs. I was out cycling earlier this morning in Welsh House Farm and it’s truly shocking how many the roads in the area are unsafe and dangerous. I am not sure if the council maintain the roads anymore. Better Streets Harborne & Quinton

I have written to the Lord Chancellor Shabana Mahmood MP to ask for sentencing guidelines to be reviewed so dangerous drivers who cause death or serious injury stay behind bars, and are then banned from driving, for longer.

A cyclist has been seriously injured in a car collision. Birmingham Council will declare a road safety emergency and then take no action in fixing dangerous roads. If the council is serious about their declared “emergency” then they should show us how this road will be redesigned.
