Funny story: This happens at Forbes all the time. So how can female staffers get Forbes CCO Randall Lane to pay them fairly? Right now women make $10K less, on avg, than men in the same newsroom roles. We're all ears, Mika. #knowyourvalue MSNBC MSNBC Union

WE CALL B.S.: We are hearing of members being told we are standing in the way of raises. Completely false! Forbes mgt, which continues to drag out bargaining, can offer raises now. We will keep fighting. Glad we cleared that up, Randall Lane

The good news: Forbes has ramped up the number of bargaining sessions in 2025. The bad news: We've seen no change in tone at the bargaining table, just the same old, same old. Very disappointing.

Forbes CEO Sherry Phillips said in a Dec. email to the Forbes Union bargaining committee that she agreed that "a reset in our approach can help move us forward constructively." We are all still waiting for that reset, Sherry.

Right now, there is zero job security at Forbes, and management likes it that way. ("At management's discretion" is their favorite phrase.) We need a contract that gives normal protections like guaranteed severance and mandatory heads-up before layoffs. #unionstrong

Yes, Forbes has a major retention problem. In recent years, there's been an exodus of talented staff who see greener pastures at competitors where they can get a fair shake. It's beyond time for some transparency! #unionstrong

The @forbes newsroom, the cornerstone of the brand, has shrunk significantly under Randall Lane's lack of leadership. A win for our competitors. #media

Despite Forbes CCO Randall Lane's claim to want the best newsroom in media, he and CEO Sherry Phillips are keeping salaries below industry norms. Is it any wonder we've seen an exodus of staffers?

I am proud to have been a member of the Forbes Union for over 3 yrs. I left Forbes for the same reasons so many others have left. It is infuriating to watch Forbes continue to stonewall negotiations with my friends & colleagues through their abysmal counters & childish behavior.

I know my friends at the Forbes Union will never back down from this fight. They’ve come too far to cave to management’s weak counters & bad attitude at the bargaining table. If Forbes wants the best contract in media like they claim, they should adopt the union’s proposals.
