In 2008 we sat in court to watch a 15 yr old child be sentenced as an adult given a life sentence. His mom has been coming to our weekly #participatorydefense mtgs ever since and we all became family. Today, we sat in court to watch him win his resentencing and release!!!❤️🙏🏾💪🏾

This month, we gathered policy leaders across the aisle to discuss safe pathways home from prison. One thing was clear: justice must be rooted in safety, accountability, and redemption. 🤝 Thank you @cpac for hosting + The Just Trust for sponsoring this important conversation.
