Astounding indeed. Annual health care costs for cardiovascular risk factors are projected to triple and for cardiovascular conditions are projected to nearly quadruple by 2050. Worth reading the whole thread from Dhruv Kazi.

Pleased to share our paper published today in Hypertension. Using data from the Jackson Heart Study and a computer simulation, we found maintaining normal BP over the lifecourse could add up to 4.5 years of life and 6 years of healthy life.
