As has been reported, Pope Francis asked for prayers for Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI today. His health has declined but is stable and under medical care. Please join me in prayer: May Christ, in his tender mercy, give Pope Benedict the comforting assurance of his healing presence.

My brother, Fr. Tim Kesicki, SJ is the one singled out by the sunbeam! Prayers for him, his brother Society of Jesus and all consecrated women and men on the World Day of Prayer for Consecrated Life.

And we enjoyed the powerful Death of a Salesman Broadway with Mary McDermott for a great siblings weekend last October!

My dear father, Robert, went home to God this evening surrounded by family and his wife of 63 years Carmella. In 2017 ⁦Bishop Zubik⁩ presented him the Manifesting the Kingdom Award ⁦St. Paul Cathedral Parish⁩ May he now enjoy the fullness of that Kingdom!

⁦Pope Leo XIV⁩ prayed for my Dad’s recovery from cancer 9 years ago. I know that my Dad is smiling down on the Holy Father’s recovery from bronchitis and return to celebrate Holy Week.

Happy 93rd birthday to my mom, Carmella, who will join ⁦Rev. Michael Kesicki⁩ ⁦Mary McDermott⁩ and me for a birthday celebration. Our dearly departed dad will be with us in spirit!
