Grazie Francesca Scapolo, mio su La Stampa lastampa.it/rubriche/data-…

The Oversight Board has overturned Meta’s decision to leave up a video in which Cambodian PM Hun Sen threatens political opponents with violence. Due to the severity of the violation, the Board recommends that Meta suspend Hun Sen’s FB page and IG account for 6 months.

Wham! Facebook oversight board recommends Facebook suspend #Cambodia PM Hun Sen's account for 6 months for clearly inciting violence! No subtlety in this decision which finds PM's Office of Cambodia 🇰🇭 clearly in the wrong! About time he was called out for this! oversightboard.com/news/656303619…

Today the Board upheld Meta’s decisions to keep up two posts sharing first-hand experience of a fruit juice-only diet. While such a diet can cover eating practices with different health consequences, the posts did not include any eating disorder signal or violate Meta’s rules.

Today, the Oversight Board published its first expedited decisions in two cases about the Israel-Hamas conflict. In each case, the Board overturned Meta’s original decision to remove the content but approved its subsequent decision to restore the post with a warning screen.

The Oversight Board, on which I serve, declared that Meta used its automated tools more aggressively to remove content that might have been otherwise left on the platform during the Israel-Gaza war. 1/

Today, the Board overturned Meta’s original decision to leave up a post containing false claims about the Holocaust. Meta did not remove this content even after the company changed its policies to explicitly prohibit Holocaust denial, despite human and automated reviews.
